Investment Casting

Precision Castings for Complex and Hig-Performance Components

Investment Casting

Investment Casting, also known as the lost wax process, is an advanced technique that provides unmatched accuracy and detail for producing complex and high-performance parts. Metal Cast Engineering specializes in delivering investment castings that meet the most stringent requirements of industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial machinery.

Process Overview

The investment casting process begins with creating a detailed wax pattern of the part, which is then coated with a ceramic shell. After the wax is melted and removed, molten metal is poured into the shell, forming the final part. The result is a high-precision, near-net-shape casting with excellent dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

Range & Capacity

Our investment casting services are capable of producing parts in a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steels, and specialty alloys. We are equipped to handle parts ranging from small, intricate components to larger, high-performance pieces.

  • Weight Range: From a few grams to several kilograms

  • Dimensions: Up to 300 mm (in most materials)

  • Materials:

    • Stainless Steel (Grades 304, 316, etc.)

    • Carbon Steel

    • Alloy Steels

    • Specialty Alloys (e.g., Inconel, Titanium)
