Investment Casting
Investment Casting, also known as the lost wax process, is an advanced technique that provides unmatched accuracy and detail for producing complex and high-performance parts. Metal Cast Engineering specializes in delivering investment castings that meet the most stringent requirements of industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial machinery.
Process Overview
The investment casting process begins with creating a detailed wax pattern of the part, which is then coated with a ceramic shell. After the wax is melted and removed, molten metal is poured into the shell, forming the final part. The result is a high-precision, near-net-shape casting with excellent dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
